Mountain of Hell 2024 is a thrilling freeride downhill bike race set against the breathtaking backdrop of Les Deux Alpes in France. Haven for adrenaline-addicted bike riders takes place from June 21 to 23. The event promises three days of heart-pounding action and a crazy atmosphere.

Bike Race

The concept of the race is as simple as it gets: riders start with their tires in the snow, embarking on a 15-mile (25-km) freeride enduro descent across various terrains, including single tracks, rocks, and snow. The descent involves a whopping 7,870 feet (2,400 m) of altitude difference, offering participants a good dose of adrenaline as they navigate their way down. The ultimate challenge? Racing straight down with the first to reach the bottom, claiming victory!

The 2024 Mountain of Hell Programme offers a jam-packed schedule of events for participants and spectators alike.

Thursday, June 20

From Thursday, June 20, participants can collect their plaques at the Palais des Sports from 4 pm to 7 pm, followed by a screening of Kilian Bron's brand new film at 8 pm, with an opportunity for discussion and sharing with Kilian at the Les 2 Alpes cinema.

Friday, June 21

On Friday, June 21, plate collection continues at the Palais des Sports from 9 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 7 pm, while participants can also enjoy free reconnaissance of the two runs and discovery of the Bikepark from 9 am to 5 pm.

Saturday, June 22

Saturday, June 22, sees the collection of plates from 8.30 am to 9 am, with a note that only plates for MOH kids can be collected from 9 am to 12 pm. The action heats up with the boarding of the Jandri Express at 9 am, followed by the qualifying run starting every 20 minutes from 2600m, and a line collection and runners' briefing at 6.30 pm at Place des 2 Alpes or Palais des Sports in case of bad weather.

Sunday, June 23

The final day, Sunday, June 23, begins with breakfast by Commencal and boarding of the Jandri Express from 5 am to 7 am. The ultimate showdown starts at 9 am with the final run, followed by lunch at Palais des Sports at noon and the eagerly anticipated prize-giving ceremony at 1.30 pm. Finally, participants bid farewell with a "Bye Bye" and look forward to the next year's event at 3 pm. Please note that the schedule is subject to change, so participants should stay updated for any adjustments.

Start Line

One of the most thrilling moments of the race is the start, where riders must maintain their balance on a slippery glacier slope before plunging into the competition. Despite the intense nature of the event, safety remains a top priority, with no serious injuries reported at Mountain of Hell.

Kids' Edition

Mountain of Hell isn't just for seasoned riders—there's fun for the whole family, including a special kids' version of the competition. Younger riders aged 9 to 14 can experience the excitement firsthand and make memories that will last a lifetime on the slopes of Les Deux Alpes.

Registration Details

For those interested in participating, registration fees vary depending on licensing status. Licensed participants can expect to pay €95, while non-licensed participants shell out €110. Kids eager to join the fun can register for €50. It's worth noting that registration fees are non-refundable, and online registration closes on June 18, 2024.
