The whole month of Madrid's cultural life is entirely dedicated to flamenco. Dancing, singing, exhibitions, conferences, and roundtables—all these events take place around the city. Famous artists of the flamenco genre and beyond present their best works, stunning the audiences with their performances.

Festival Performers

During the previous years of the festival, the stage at the Fernán Gómez Cultural Centre was graced by the presence of many incredible artists, including Antonio Canales, Carmen Cortés, Diego Carrasco, Tino Heraldo, and emerging talents such as Belén López, La Lupi or Alfonso Losa.

The festival gives a platform to aspiring acts and field veterans, who have already achieved legendary status. The event has been directed by prominent figures of the genre, including Ángel Rojas, creating an artistic experience you've never witnessed before.

Location

Dozens of bands of singers, dancers, and musicians of Flamenco show their skills in the hall of the Fernán Gómez Cultural Centre and at other venues, including La Casa Encendida, Cineteca Madrid, Conde Duque Contemporary Culture Center, and many others. The main programming and flamenco dance performances usually take place at Fernán Gómez Cultural Centre, but other events are scheduled at the other venues all throughout the city.

History and Development

This year marks the 8th edition of the Flamenco Madrid festival, first established by the the Department of Culture, Tourism, and Sports of the Madrid City Council. Starting out as a classical flamenco festival, the show has evolved over the years into a mix of contemporary and flamenco genres.
