Metropolitan Opera Summer HD Festival is a great way to experience New York City's vibrant cultural life. Opera stars appear on the big screen installed outdoors in Lincoln Center Plaza. This free festival gathers many opera fans, attracted by productions from the Met's Live in HD simulcast series. The Plaza has 3,000 seats. No tickets are required. Seats are distributed on a first-come, first served basis. But, seats fill up quite fast so show up early. Performances usually start at 8 p.m. Additional standing room is also available around Lincoln Center Plaza.

Each season of the Summer HD Festival features ten performances from Met's Live, as well as special pre-festival screenings and opera-related features. Don't miss your chance to see Met stars like Anna Netrebko, Vittorio Grigolo, René Pape, and Nadja Michael on the big screen.
