Bled Days is a free annual festival that honors the picturesque town situated on the lake, renowned for this distinctive tradition. Held on the fourth weekend of July, this event embodies the essence of Bled's heritage with its traditional arts and crafts fair, captivating candlelit displays on the lake, and a diverse array of concerts.
Bled Night
On Saturday, during the traditional Bled night, known as Candle Lights on Lake Bled, 15,000 intricately crafted eggshells are launched into the lake. These shells, meticulously prepared by Andrej Vidic with materials from the local Conditus cake shop, are illuminated from within, transforming the waters and sky into a mesmerizing spectacle of light. The show commences at 9 pm on the Lakeside Promenade.
Arts and Crafts Fair & Activities
In addition to this spectacle, citizens and visitors of Bled can see local crafts and listen to concerts along the promenade. The Arts and Crafts Fair is scheduled to occur in Zdraviliške Park. A myriad of workshops and interactive experiences are available, providing opportunities to hone skills and connect with the essence of Slovenian traditions. Visitors can immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of local culture by indulging in traditional Slovenian cuisine and savoring its authentic flavors. They can delight in live music performances that echo through the air, setting the perfect ambiance for the festivities. The entrance to the fest is free of charge.
