All the kids worldwide want to find an answer to a burning question, "Where is Santa Claus?" In this article, we put all our cards on the table. Are you ready to dive deeper into the magical world?

Around the Arctic Circle, deep in snowy Lapland, the warmth and happiness await you in Santa's hut. His real home is located in the city of Rovaniemi at Santa Claus Village. There, you'll find the Santa Claus Office and the Main Post Office, the House of Mrs. Claus & Santa's Reindeer, SantaPark, and Christmas House Santa & Exhibition. Over 300,000 visitors come to the village annually to meet Santa and surprise their friends with a unique Christmas postcard with the Arctic Circle postmark.

When Does Santa Claus Village Open

Even though Santa Claus Village remains open throughout the year, the best time to visit Finland occurs in early November when the Grand Opening of the Christmas Season takes place. The whole Finland Christmas town celebrates this heart-warming event. Besides, on December 23, Santa Claus departs from Rovaniemi for the world trip to meet with kids and share goodwill and caring with them.

Where to Meet Santa Claus

Visitors can meet Santa Claus every day of the year at the Santa Claus Village. He spends most of the time at Santa’s Office with his elves. Santa Claus Village opens from February 26 to May 31 on Monday through Sunday, from 10 am to 5 pm, and from June 1 to August 31 on Monday through Sunday, from 9 am to 6 pm. Entrance is free of charge and suitable for all ages.

Also, Santa Claus can be found in Christmas House in Rovaniemi. Gates open from April to May on Monday-Sunday from 10 am-4 pm; from June-November on Monday-Sunday from 9 am-4 pm; on December on Monday-Sunday from 9 am-7 pm, but on Christmas Eve and Christmas House runs from 9 am to 10 pm. During January-March Christmas House opens on Monday-Sunday from 9 am-6 pm.

Santa Claus’ Main Post Office and Mrs. Santa Claus Christmas Cottage

Guests also can write greetings from the Arctic Circle from Santa Claus’ Main Post Office. Whether it's Christmas or the middle of summer, the elves will post your greeting for you. The Arctic Circle postmark will appear on all mail. Besides, don't forget to visit Mrs. Santa Claus and the elves at Mrs. Santa Claus Christmas Cottage. She loves to tell visitors stories about Lapland and to share the joy she feels in her heart.

Cross the Arctic Circle and See the Northern Lights

The Arctic Circle passes through the village of Santa Claus, located eight kilometers north of the city center. So, why not take advantage of this opportunity? Visitors will have no problem finding it. You need to focus on the marked line; after crossing, you can even get a certificate confirming that you have made it. Also, the Northern Lights season on the Arctic Circle starts in late August and continues until early April. This is one more occasion to pack your bag and go to the Santa Claus Village.

Arctic Circle Husky Park

After visiting Santa's hut, you can try husky sled rides with real, purebred Siberian Huskies. Huskies adore running as fast as possible, offering you an unforgettable riding experience. In the summertime, you can stroll along Husky Park and see how the dogs live and are fed. Over 100 friendly dogs are waiting to show you the winter wonderland.

Snowman World

Snowman World is a wonderful place located in Santa Claus Village on the Arctic Circle, Rovaniemi, Finland. It's a winter zone full of enjoyable activities for kids and adults. There, you can visit Ice Bar and Ice Restaurant, slide down daring hills, and take the best out of this holiday season. Snowman World is open every day from 11 am to 7 pm.

The busy winter season continues into late March or even early April. Come and spend an amazing evening singing carols with Santa, enjoying fresh gingerbread biscuits, baked by Mrs. Clause, and watching furry reindeer having fun in the snow outdoors.
