Jessamine County Fair is an annual event, taking place every July at the City County Park in Nicholasville, Kentucky. The fair, which has been the favorite summer tradition for many families in the Lexington area, features agricultural exhibits, motorsports, a petting zoo, carnival thrills, pony rides, live entertainment, a pageant, wrestling, and karaoke. In addition to that, there are beef, swine, and dairy shows as well as crafts and food vendors. Plenty of delicious fair treats to enjoy!
Highlights of the Fair
The main highlights of the Jessamine County Fair include Miss Jessamine County Fair Pageant, Chasin’ Cash Barrel Racing, the Greased Pig Contest, and live musical acts. Agricultural highlights include 4-H Exhibits, Floriculture, Garden Show, and Alpaca & Llama Fun Show. Motorsports program showcases Garden Tractor Pull, Truck & Tractor Pull, Demolition Derby, and Mud Run.
Fair Schedule
Family Night at the fair is on Monday, July 8, 2024. Families can enjoy an array of exciting and kid-friendly activities and entertainment, like the pizza-eating contest, a foam party, and monster truck rides, in addition to everyday fair favorites. Saturday, July 13, 2024, features the bull riding. Don't miss that cowboy fun! Finally, all circus fans are invited to see the Circus Thrill Show on Wednesday, July 10, 2024.
Tickets and Hours
General admission is $15 per person for a single night of the fair. Tickets are available at the fair only, no advance sales are offered. Parking is free. The gate and vendors cash and credit cards. Free WiFi is available on the fairgrounds. The fair runs from 6 pm to 11 pm Monday through Friday and 5 pm to midnight on Saturday.
