Arkansas Comic Con est un congrès de culture populaire de deux jours tenu au Statehouse Convention Center à Little Rock. L'événement dédié aux BD, anime, science-fiction, horreur et jeux vidéo attire des milliers de fans ainsi que des vendeurs, des artistes et des célébrités. Le week-end des congrès est rempli d'activités familiales, de divertissements et d'interactions sociales.
Des dizaines de vendeurs proposent une large gamme de collections, de BD et de divers commerces au sol de l'exposition. Tables rondes, opérations photo et séances d'autographes avec des célébrités sont les plus populaires parmi les fans. Sean Astin, Shannon Elizabeth, Michael Biehn, Justin Briner, Greg Cipes, Denise Crosby, David Koechner, Ricco Fajardo, Bruce Campbell, Vernon Wells, Judith Hoag et Jason David Frank sont parmi les invités de Arkansas Comic Con.
Le congrès des fans se déroule de 10h00 à 18h00 le samedi et de 11h00 à 17h00 le dimanche. Les billets commencent à 30 $ par jour ou 50 $ pour les deux jours. Les enfants de 10 ans et moins peuvent venir gratuitement avec un adulte payé (deux enfants sont autorisés à entrer par un billet payé adulte).
Cosplay enthusiasts will find plenty to enjoy at Arkansas Comic Con 2024, as the event features several exciting cosplay contests and opportunities to showcase their creativity. The Masquerade contest, open to participants aged 11 and up, offers a fun, pressure-free platform to display costumes inspired by various sources, with prizes awarded for categories such as Best Overall, Best Group, and Fan Favorite. For younger fans, the Kids Cosplay Masquerade, for ages ten and under, provides a chance to shine on stage with certificates and prizes for the top three participants. Additionally, the Craftsmanship Competition focuses on the intricate details of costume design, construction, and presentation, with awards for Best in Show, Best Armor, Best Needlework, and Best Prop, along with three Judge’s Choice awards.
Arkansas Comic Con 2024 offers a fantastic range of photo opportunities for fans looking to capture memorable moments with their favorite celebrities. Professional photo ops are provided by Celeb Photo Ops, ensuring high-quality photos with ideal lighting and top-of-the-line DSLR cameras. Photo op ticket prices vary depending on the celebrity. For example, a photo op with Ashley Eckstein is priced at $125, while sessions with Charles Martinet, John de Lancie, and Jamie Kennedy are available for $75 each. Cherami Leigh's photo op costs $65, and opportunities to take photos with Kane or Matt Riddle are priced at $85 each. Each session includes a high-quality 8×10" print and a downloadable image, ready within minutes. Please note that an event ticket is required to attend the convention, and a photo op ticket alone does not grant entry.
Ticket prices for Arkansas Comic Con vary depending on the day and type of admission. Weekend general admission, if purchased in advance, is priced at $75. For single-day tickets, the prices are $30 for Friday, $40 for Saturday, and $35 for Sunday. Children aged ten and under can enter for free, provided they are accompanied by a paying adult (with a limit of two children per adult ticket).
