OCIA Air Show and Open House is a wonderful aviation festival in Waterford, Michigan. The show's main focus is aerobatic performances, but the event also features a static display of aircraft and military support vehicles, live performances, and many family-friendly activities.

The occasion showcases a multitude of thrilling activities, ranging from a professional aviator-led airshow to opportunities for helicopter and airplane rides. This year, Misty Blues, a female skydiving team, will be returning along with Stephen Covington on a flying Raptor and Skip Stewart flying a Prometheus Biplane. Moreover, participants can explore the airport premises, gaining insights into classic World War II aircraft and a diverse array of military, commercial, and civilian aircraft.
Other highlights of the fun-packed program for the whole family include the Oakland County Health Fair and Kids Zone Play Area. A local rock band will be playing live at noon & performing the national anthem at the start of the air show. The festival is scheduled from 9 am to 4 pm. The main part of the festivities is surely the air show itself, running between 1:30 pm and 3 pm.
Location & Tickets
The OCIA Air Show and Open House takes place at Oakland County International Airport (OCIA) in Waterford, Michigan. Although the entrance and parking are free, you can also book a paid airplane, biplane, or helicopter ride. All air Rides cost $45 per person.
