What better place than the City of Independence to celebrate Independence Day in Oregon? This city has prepared many things to make this day truly fun. Since 1902, Independence Days has been a hometown tradition for locals. An event like no other, a special event planned by and for the community. Independence celebrates the 4th of July for the whole three days and offers a busy schedule.
Grand Parade and Fireworks (July 3-5, 2024)
The revelry in Riverview Park features live music, concerts, performances, and vendors offering lots of delicious foods. One of the highlights is a Grand Parade, stretching from Monmouth to Independence, and a rubber ducky derby on the Willamette River. All events and activities will take place at Riverview Park in downtown Independence. Guests will be able to take part in live entertainment, and wholesome family activities. Still, the best part of the celebration is always the dramatic fireworks displays, usually scheduled for 10 pm. The fireworks are held over the Willamette River on July 3 within a Hometown Celebration and July 4 within the Independence Days Celebration.

One of the largest fireworks shows on the West Coast takes place in Seaside, located 129 miles (207 km) from Independence. Festival festivities begin at dusk, about 10 pm, at Seaside Beach. This event pleases not only locals but also guests and travelers, who want to enjoy the lit sky of the evening beach.
The City of Corvallis Fireworks | Red White and Blue Riverfront Festival (July, 2024)
Red, White and Blue Riverfront Festival in Corvallis is a festival for the whole family with live music, local food vendors, children's activities, and Oregon wines and craft beers. From 12 pm to 8 pm, new bands and performers appear on the stage and entertain the audience with fiery music. Enjoy the spectacular Corvallis fireworks display after dusk on July 4th. Corvallis is located 23 miles (37 km) from Independence; it's a 30-minute drive.
