Storia del Festival
La cultura di Singapore è rappresentata da una vibrante miscela di arti asiatiche ricche e versatili, rendendola una delle capitali culturali asiatiche. Singapore Arts Festival si svolge nel paese dal 1977, con un nuovo marchio nel 2014 nel SIFA-Singapore International Festival of Arts.
In origine il festival presentava solo l'arte nazionale, tuttavia attualmente solo il 30% dei suoi partecipanti provengono da Singapore mentre il 70% degli interpreti sono artisti internazionali che dimostrano i propri risultati in teatro, danza, musica e altre arti. I partecipanti, così come il pubblico in generale, possono godere delle opere d'arte più belle di Singapore e del mondo.
The Singapore International Festival of Arts (SIFA) takes place across several prominent venues in Singapore, offering a variety of spaces tailored to its diverse performances and exhibitions. The venues include 42 Waterloo Street, Artspace at Helutrans, Cathay Green, Esplanade Theatre, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), School of the Arts (SOTA), Singtel Waterfront Theatre at Esplanade, Stamford Arts Centre, and Victoria Theatre & Victoria Concert Hall.
