Hebron Harvest Fair is the annual fall event in the charming town of Hebron, located in Tolland County, Connecticut. The four-day festival, which takes place every September, features live music performances, midway rides, racing pigs, a horse show, livestock exhibits, a bike stunt show, a firefighters' show, and animal pulling contests. Kids of all ages can enjoy animal barns, demonstrations, and contests. In addition to that, there are plenty of food vendors and a beer & wine garden for adults. The fair attracts about 124,000 visitors annually.

Entertainment Program

The main highlights of the Hebron Harvest Fair worth witnessing include Double Figure 8 Racing and Demolition Derby. The cars fly by the spectators at breakneck speeds, maneuvering and crashing into each other. Pig races are another favorite of the public, with adorable swine sprinting along the track. Dock Dogs, or the World's Premier Canine Aquatics Competition, offers a chance for dog handlers to showcase their pet's swimming and fetching skills.

Music Lineup

Hebron Harvest Fair always features a diverse country music lineup with Nashville and Connecticut stars. During fair's previous runs, the audience gave a warm welcome to such artists as Charlie Daniels, Kenny Chesney, Michelle Wright, Pirates Of The Mississippi, Shenandoah, Aaron Tippin, Craig Morgan, and Ricky Skaggs. The music is a great addition to the overall festivities and never fails to deliver.

Location

All the fun takes place at the Hebron Lions Fairgrounds, also home to the Hebron Lions Agricultural Society. It's located at Gilead Street in Hebron, a picturesque, quaint town just 18 miles (29 km) east of Hartford, the capitol of Connecticut.

Schedule & Hours

The fair operates from 4 pm until 10:30 pm on Thursday and from noon until midnight on Friday. On Saturday, the gates are open from 10 am until midnight, while on Sunday, the fair welcomes new visitors from 10 am until 7:30 pm.

Admission & Tickets

General admission costs $15 for one day and $35 for the whole fair. On Thursday, you have a chance to take advantage of discounted tickets, which cost $3. The carnival wristband costs $23 and can only be used on a single day of the fair. Parking costs $5 on all days of the fair except for Thursday, during which a discounted rate of $3 applies.

History of the Fair

The Hebron Harvest Fair, presented by the Hebron Lions Agricultural Society, has been held since 1971. Its proceeds support local and national charitable causes. First held at the local school with an attendance of several thousand people, mostly residents, the fair was re-established by the Hebron Lions Club into a massive-scale celebration at a new venue, which draws in hundreds of thousands of visitors.
