The annual July 4th Freedom Festival in Castle Hills is a free event full of different games, live music, and a fantastic fireworks show. Kicking off at 5:30 pm, the Freedom Festival occupies the Castle Hills Village Shops and Lake Avalon in the Castle Hills master-planned community. Grab your blanket and chairs and get ready to have lots of fun, like face painting, a bounce house, a water slide combo, food trucks, live music, and more.
Liberty by the Lake 4th of July Celebration (July 4, 2024)
Lake Lewisville is a stunning place to visit throughout the year. However, on the 4th of July, it’s even more fabulous. The celebration starts with the Liberty 5K/10K/1M race at Stewart Creek Park. There will be live music, food trucks, carnival rides, and a fireworks display set to patriotic music at the Athletic Club.
McKinney Red White and Boom (July 4, 2024)
Take a 25-mile (40 km) ride to the City of McKinney, which celebrates Independence Day at Red, White, and BOOM. Gabe Nesbitt Community Park offers free family activities, a kids' zone, live entertainment, and a spectacular fireworks show. The fireworks display sets off at about 9:45 pm, and gates open at 6 pm. No pets are permitted at the event, but free parking is available.
