Texans appreciate a nice Independence Day celebration. Every year, the administration of Texas hosts a bunch of patriotic parades, firework shows, and other cool festivities. This year is not an exception. Hurst and its neighboring city of Mansfield offer great opportunities for 4th of July bashes.
Hurst Stars & Stripes Fireworks Show (July 3, 2024)
The famous annual Stars & Stripes Fireworks Show takes place in Hurst Community Park. Gates open at 5:30 pm, and before all the fun begins, visitors can enjoy mouth-watering appetizers and delicious, fully-fledged meals from local food vendors. Note that there is no ATM at the venue or nearby, so consider stocking up on cash to pay for the delectable snacks.
After that, at 6 pm, the music section of the event begins. You’ll be able to listen to your favorite patriotic hits and dance with thousands of like-minded peers you haven’t gotten to know yet. Visitors will be able to enjoy great performances by some of the best local musicians in the region, including Professor D and Grady Spencer and the Work.

And when all the music fun is over, the fireworks begin. The dazzling pyrotechnic display starts at 9:30 pm sharp and lasts for at least twenty minutes. So feel free to grab your lawn chair or a blanket to watch this beautiful, dazzling performance in comfort.
Mansfield Rocks Celebration (June 28-July 3, 2024)
If you find yourself in the DFW area, consider visiting Mansfield, located 25 miles (40 km) from Hurst and named as one of the most affordable suburban towns in Texas. Mansfield hosts Mansfield Rocks, an annual 4th of July celebration that, just as its name promises, will absolutely rock. The events are held at The LOT Downtown and Hawaiian Falls Mansfield. On June 28th, you'll have a chance to witness Taylor Nation Tribute Show, starting from 7 pm. The Bluffet, Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show is scheduled at 7 pm on June 29th.
July 3rd is the most-anticipated day of the celebration due to its magnificent fireworks display. From 5 to 9 pm, Hawaiian Falls will turn into a whirlwind of fun, games, and festival snacks. At 9 pm, take a moment to stop and look up at the sky to observe gorgeous splashes of color against the dark sky. All events are completely free to attend but require prior registration.
