La Western Idaho Fair se déroule chaque août à l'Expo Idaho à Boise, Idaho. La foire de dix jours est remplie de divertissement et d'activités. Il y a aussi des expositions agricoles et manufacturières. Le salon attire environ 250 000 personnes chaque année. Le billet d'entrée est de 9 $ pour les adultes, 6 $ pour les enfants.
The festival kicks off at noon on weekdays and 11 am on weekends, running until 11 pm. All concerts start at 8 pm and run to 10 pm. Scheduled activities are planned throughout the day.
L'une des plus grandes attractions de la foire est le carnaval à mi-chemin. Le Skyride donne aux visiteurs une vue sur la foire d'en haut est le trajet le plus populaire qui est choisi par 15 000 personnes chaque saison. Le trajet dure 8-10 minutes et ressemble à un remontée mécanique. D'autres attractions incluent le tour de toboggan de l'Himalaya vers le bas et le Wacky Worm Coaster. The fair offers a diverse range of attractions and entertainment for all ages. From clowns and Cowtown to antique farm equipment exhibits and racing pigs, there's something for everyone. Enjoy thrilling shows like Violin on Fire and Sea Lion Splash, or be amazed by hypnotist Chris Mabrey and performer Roberto The Magnificent. With activities for kids, animal adventures, like Sea Lion Splash and Otter Adventure, and live music, the fair promises a day filled with fun and excitement. Other activities include Idaho Antique Power & Farm Equipment, No Harm on the Farm activity for kids, Otter Adventure, Robocars, All-Alaskan Kids Pedal Pull, Sea Lion Splash, Strolling Piano, Dinos & Dragons, Mike Walker's "Lasting Impressions" show, Kids Jumpin' Jamboree, Strolling DJ.
The fair showcases the best of the best across various categories, from fine arts to agriculture. Visitors can admire the displays of Rabbit Meat Pen Judging, the Mule & Donkey Show, and the Trail & Versatility Ranch event. They can also observe the judging process at the Large Animal Judging Contest and enjoy the performances at the Dog Show. The fair offers opportunities to appreciate the precision of Cavy Quality and Small Animal Judging, and to learn about the intricacies of Llama & Alpaca Fleece Judging. Attendees can also witness Beef Cattle Breeding Classes, the skillful handling at Sheep Breeding Classes, and the expertise displayed in Dairy Goat Showmanship. Additionally, they can discover the charm of Pocket Pets.
La foire dispose également d'une scène de divertissement en direct avec tribune. Tous les concerts commencent à 19h30. L'entrée est gratuite avec juste entrée. La foire propose habituellement quatre concerts chaque saison avec des formations axées sur la musique country, le rock et le rock'n'roll.
Adults aged 12-61 can enter for $10, while seniors aged 62 and over receive a discounted rate of $9. Youth aged 6-11 can join in the fun for $8, and children aged five and under get in for free. The Carnival Wristband offers unlimited daily rides, including the Skyride, for just $32. The "Double the Fun" package includes two admission tickets and 2 Carnival wristbands for $75, making it the perfect option for families or friends wanting to make lasting memories together. Guests can enjoy the Grandstand Concerts for free with fair admission. For those who prefer reserved seating, tickets are available for $35, ensuring you have the best view of the performances.
