Maine International Film Festival 2024

El Maine International Film Festival (MIFF) es un evento cinematográfico de primer nivel en Maine celebrado anualmente en Waterville. El festival dura diez días en la tercera semana de julio en el Railroad Square Cinema y el Waterville Opera House. El foco principal del MIFF, que se lleva a cabo desde 1998, es el cine independiente americano e internacional. El principal punto culminante del festival es el Premio Midlife Achievement del MIFF que se entrega a un actor o un director por importantes contribuciones al cine independiente. The Maine International Film Festival spans several diverse venues in Waterville, offering a vibrant array of settings to enjoy cinematic experiences. From the historic grandeur of the Waterville Opera House to the intimate spaces of Art of Clay Studio and Studio 1902, each venue adds its unique charm to the festival atmosphere. Castonguay Square and Greene Block + Studios provide contemporary settings, while Head of Falls offers an outdoor option for screenings. Hinge Collaborative, Maine Film Center 1, 2, and 3, along with Ticonic Classroom and Lobby, round out the locations, ensuring that MIFF caters to a wide range of cinematic tastes and preferences.
