Northeast monsoon called "Iruvai" begins around the second half of October ending the period of storms and rough seas. It brings stable warm weather to the Maldives. There are eight hours of sunshine every day, both air and water temperature exceed 25 °C. You can still see an occasional rain, but generally, skies stay clear with less frequent precipitation.
The sea remains calm and flat—that’s the ideal swimming conditions which attract so many people to the archipelago. This period of the year brings bright sunny days, endless blue skies and gorgeous clouds.
