In November the long-lasting rains abate, and the heat drops from average 30s to 20s, or even lower at nights. Northern cool breezes bring the relief from the heat. The coolest months are January and February, but it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go to Cancun then, actually on the contrary—this is one of the best times to visit the city. Moderate temperatures and dry weather are favourable for outdoor activities, it’s time to explore tropical forests, hike ancient Mayan sites, meet local wildlife, and rest on white sand beaches. Cooler breezes also create appropriate conditions for kitesurfing, kiteboarding, and sailing.
March is probably, the best time to visit Cancun when the weather is the most delightful: dry and not that cool as in January or February. All the outdoor activities are still available. It’s a great time for the seaside holiday. Besides, March opens the diving season. April is the sunniest and driest time in Cancun, and still not too hot. However, jellyfish also look for conveniences and choose this month for their mating season. Thus, between the second and fourth weeks of April, the Caribbean Sea sees increasing numbers of stingy sea creatures.
