English winter is quite mild and humid as it enjoys a temperate oceanic climate. The temperature rarely falls below zero, though snow and frost will happen occasionally. The rivers rarely freeze, so the locals miss out on natural ice skating.
When there is snow it usually comes around Christmas. The rest of the time, winter in England is not especially attractive: fog, dampness, rain, and strong winds.
