Savage Race (former Warrior Dash Ohio) is the 5k obstacle course race held in Clay's Park Resort, North Lawrence. It is part of the international event with over 3,000,000 participants worldwide. This "get-dirty" race is available for anyone who can endure it. The course is full of fun obstacles such as giant slides, climbing over a wall, crouching under barbed wire, overcoming mud and running over water. The race ends with a large party and a festival with live music, DJs, beer, various entertainment and activities.
Participants are encouraged to wear beards or funky costumes. Warrior Nation events are meant not just for professional athletes, but also for families, run-for-a-cause-ers and couch potatoes.
