
Electric Forest Festival is a five-day event held every June at the Double JJ Resort in Rothbury, Michigan. The festival mostly focuses on electronic and jam band music. In some years, the festival expanded over two weekends.
Electric Forest Festival debuted under the name Rothbury Festival in 2008. In 2011, it was renamed to Electric Forest. Produced by Madison House Presents and Insomniac Events, the festival draws about 50,000 attendees each year. In 2017 it was nominated for Festival of the Year by the Electronic Music Awards.
Festival's previous line-ups featured The String Cheese Incident, Tiesto, Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, Greensky Bluegrass, Zappa Plays Zappa, STS9, Thievery Corporation, Girl Talk, Santigold, Steve Aoki, Morning Teleportation, Ghostland Observatory, Richie Hawtin, Major Lazer, Big Gigantic, Dim Mak, Check Yo Ponytail and Paxahau, Disco Biscuits, Kyle Hollingsworth Band, Perpetual Groove, Toubab Krew, Davy Knowles & Back Door Slam, Keller Williams, and Quannum Allstars.
