Edina Art Fair is one of the largest and most prestigious outdoor art festivals in the Midwest. A three-day event, held in the beginning of June, features over 250 juried artists, live entertainment, a kids zone, craft beer gardens, a vintage clothing market and food trucks. The event, which offers free admission, takes place in the 50th & France Business District, a premier shopping and dining destination in the larger Minneapolis-Saint Paul area. The Edina Art Fair attracts up to 300,000 visitors every year.
Art Fair Highlights
Although the main focus of the Edina Art Fair is art, there are plenty of other things to do and try. The Culinary Artisan Marketplace, showcasing the best locally made produce and top culinary artists, is located on the south side of the intersection of 50th St and Ewing Ave. Plenty of live music is available at Edina Grill Food Court. The Lisa and Jerry O'Brien Stage presents a lineup of local musicians every day of the fair.
Kids Zone, located on the north side of the 50th St and Ewing Ave, intersection, features many fun artistic activities, such as screenprinting, chalk mandala art, blackout poetry, henna art, and much more. The fair runs from noon to 7 pm on Friday, from 10 am to 7 pm on Saturday, and from 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday.
Edina Art Fair History
Launched in 1966, Edina Art Fair has become a signature event for the 50th & France Business District. which includes 175 retail shops, offices, and the Edina Theater. In 2016, the fair was voted the best community event by Minnesota Monthly Magazine. It was also ranked among the best art fairs in the US by Sunshine Artist and included in the Top 100 Fine Art Fairs in the US by the Art Fair Source Book.
