GLOW Holiday Festival (November 21, 2024–January 5, 2025)

One of the brightest and newest holiday light tours in Minneapolis is the GLOW Holiday Festival. A 1-mile (1,6-km) drive-thru at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds features over a million Christmas lights, icicle lights, illuminated trees, and a gingerbread house with a State Fair food court at the end of the route! This Minneapolis Christmas lights show is a must-see wintertime attraction you will remember for years. It opens nightly at 5 pm and closes at 11 pm; the last entry is at 8 pm. The general admission is approximately $20.75 and $12.75 for children (ages 12 and under).

All Is Bright Holiday Lights Tour (November 29–December 22, 2024, on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays)

Make your holidays even brighter by booking a seat on an open-air fun bus by All Is Bright Holiday Lights Tour. It’s a dazzling Minneapolis Christmas lights tour with Santa, a lively Elf, Christmas music, and a heart-warming holiday atmosphere. The bus holds 13 guests in the back and costs $185 ($14 per person). The tour starts at 4:45 pm, 5:30 pm, 6:15 pm, 7 pm, 7:45 pm, 8:30 pm, and 9:15 pm each night at Microtel Inn & Suites.

Merry & Bright Christmas Light Tour (November 24–December 21, 2024)

The Merry & Bright Christmas Light Tour is a great family event, offering twinkling lights, festive decorations, and a cozy holiday atmosphere. Guests of all ages can revel in the classic white lights and colorful animated scenes. A climate-controlled trolley ensures warmth and comfort, even on the coldest winter nights.

A standard ticket costs $40, while child admission (under 12 years old) is $25. Tickets with the Mansion Christmas can be purchased for $50 for adults and $40 for children. The Merry & Bright Christmas Light Tour kicks off and ends at Historic 300 Clifton.

Winter Lights (November 21, 2024–January 5, 2025)

A one-mile (1.6 km) self-guided walk in the enchanted holiday surroundings of the Arboretum’s gardens presents full-of-light displays highlighting flowers and trees. In 2024, visitors can expect a spectacular woodland-themed light display and the 16-foot Weeping Willow and walking through a giant apple. Additionally, you can taste roast marshmallows over an open fire at the S’mores Village.

The Winter Lights special theme nights, including an Opening Night celebration on November 21, Date Nights on December 5 and 12, Family Nights on November 26 and December 19, and a New Year’s Eve Celebration for all ages on December 31, are must-see events, making lasting memories. General admission is $10 for members, $30 for non-members, and $5 for children ages 15 and younger.

Sever's Holiday Lights (unconfirmed in 2024)

Sever’s Holiday Lights is another 0.5-mile (0.8-m) dazzling drive-thru show in Shakopee that helps you plunge into the holiday atmosphere. It’s the epitome of a fairytale, featuring over 2,500,00 holiday light displays, which evoke a flood of positive emotions. Weekdays tickets price ranges from $25 to $35 per car and weekends ticket prices range from $35 to $50. The gates open at 5 pm daily.
