From June to August, temperatures in Korea range from 23 °C to 26 °C, and rains are frequent from the end of June to mid-July. East Asian monsoon winds bring warm and humid air to the city which clashes with the drier air in the north.

Summer is also a rainy season. By mid-June rains become quite frequent. While July is the wettest month in the Korean capital. Thunderstorms and typhoon, which can last upto 5 days, occur between July and September. Fogs and significant flooding are also possible during this time.
