Actually, this meal set is considered a normal everyday Italian breakfast, established long ago by the founders of the Mediterranean diet. A stranger from abroad may even become frustrated if not starve to madness being offered such a scanty meal every day. But in the summer, it is perfect—a cup of cold caffè freddo is a wonderful start for the hot season.
