Spring is deemed the best season to visit Rome, offering lots of sunny days, and pleasantly warm temperature. It showers from time to time, but less often than in winter. Precipitation level also decreases, and overall, the weather gradually gets drier: the closer to the summer, the less it rains.
During Easter holidays the weather is usually unstable, with sun and rain, cold waves are possible. But by the end of April, the weather is very warm, and days get longer. Sometimes there can be an occasional cold wave even in May, but it never gets too cold.
