Summers in Croatia are hot, dry and sunny, especially on the coast. July and August are the hottest months of the year. Sometimes the temperatures can be unpleasantly high but the cool sea breeze usually brings relief. If you’re visiting Croatia in summer, bring light clothes made from natural fabrics to survive the heat. Even the mountains are warm and sunny in summer, making this season the best for hiking. Obviously, summer is the tourist high season in Croatia, so expect high prices and fully booked hotels.
