It might snow sometimes during this period in Iceland but generally the snow starts melting even in the mountains, the waterfalls are especially spectacular at this time. The daylight is longer every day. The weather is usually wetter in the South and dryer in the North. It’s also the time when flowers like crocus and Easter lilies start blooming and birds like the famous puffin are migrating and it’s possible to spot them. Another great thing about springtime in Iceland is that it’s still not the high season and the prices are lower but nature already began to revive and the colours start to pick up.
