Kauai is an island in the Central Pacific, part of the Hawaiian archipelago. Known as "The Garden Isle," it earns its nickname from the tropical rainforest covering much of its surface. The best times to visit Kauai are early fall (from August to October) and late spring (from April to June), when the weather is nice, and airfare and hotel rates are lower. While the rainy season, from November to March, doesn't deter visitors seeking a winter getaway, it is also Kauai's peak travel season, so you may encounter the highest prices for rooms and flights during this time.
