Brock Roseberry
During the summer pineapples are abundant at farmers markets and grocery stores all over the islands. There are two main varieties—yellow and white. Most consumers are accustomed to yellow pineapples, primarily distributed by the Dole company, but white pineapples are rarely available outside of Hawaii. However, it is important to know that Hawaii also boasts the wild red pineapple! This one is usually grown in gardens for security and has a ranging pink to remarkably red colour. It is smaller than regular yellow ones and is less fleshy, which does not take away the fact that it is delicious!
