The big and juicy fruit that is a perfect refreshment for summer heat
Best time: March–April | May–September
Vietnamese mangoes can exist in different varieties, but mostly they are grown in southern provinces and acquire a slightly different look in comparison to the well known big and round variety.
Vietnamese most valuable mangoes are grown mostly in Dong Thap province and are yellow and long in shape, reminding the oval not round. There are also different other varieties, such as small and green mangoes from Moc Chau or the long green and zucchini-like mango from Nha Trang that is extremely sweet. In the southern parts mangoes are harvested in March-April and in the northern parts fruiting season lasts in May-September.
