Ibiza is home to an abundance of fig trees. They come in two different varieties: black and green. These fruits are harvested between July and August. Locals usually dry them in the sun, but fresh figs are equally tasty. The only thing to remember is that a ripe fig's skin must first start cracking, otherwise, the fruit is still not sweet and moist enough and should be left on the tree.
