The Blood oranges are famous for their red flesh and deep red juice. They are extremely rich in antioxidants and exceptionally sweet. This healthy fruit is often added to salads and desserts. The harvest season starts in January and lasts until April. The most popular blood oranges are the Tarocco, the Moro and the Sanguigno. The eastern part of the island is extensively cultivating the Sanguigno oranges. So why not visit Sicily for the taste of these?
