There are few people who do not like mango, especially in Costa Rica—the mango kingdom

Mango is quite a large fruit that is green until it ripens to orange or red colour. It is also sour when unripe and can be eaten with some salt, or sweet when totally ripe. It is full of vitamins A (when ripe) and C (when unripe).
The fruit is available all year round, but the harvest peaks around March when mangoes are in such a plentitude that people make jams of them.
