Lychee is very popular throughout Hawaii. When it's in season, it's sold everywhere for almost nothing. When it's ripe, it's easy to peel the thorny skin and get to the juicy fruity pulp. Lychee's history goes back to 2000 BC in China. The fruit contains lots of Vitamin C and tastes best when fresh.
