Being Elvis' impersonator is a quite popular hobby among the eccentric British, especially older ones. People in costumes and wigs, depicting the legendary singer, are a regular visit to the mass of festivals such as Elvis Festival in South Wales for example. The number of Elvis Presley' Twins beat records every year. Organisers of the annual tribute festival, which takes place in Porthcawl in September, claim that more than 800 fans of all ages attend this fantastic event.
The most anticipated event of the festival is a twins’ competition for the best Presley Elvis in several categories. The show in the style of Elvis holds in the concert hall of the Grand Pavilion. The festival program offers viewing movies featuring stars and more than 100 presentations, dedicated to the king of rock 'n' roll, which can be seen in the four bars and entertainment complex Hi-Tide Inn. 20 alternative venues throughout the town present shows not included in the main program of the Festival (Fringe Festival). Usually a beach mini-football match and a beauty contest named Priscilla Presley take place in Porthcawl.
