This cactus with beautiful flowers is also quite tasty

Opuntia gets very beautiful when it's in blossom from May to August. In the summer, this large cactus forms plum-like purple edible fruit. It's quite sweet and tasty but pick the prickly pears wearing gloves because thousands of thorns may end up in your hands.
