Merano WineFestival 2024 in Italy

A signature event for the food and wine industry, Merano WineFestival, known as the wine salon of Europe since 1992, brings together producers, visitors, and trade operators from all over the world to Morano. The event features a selection of national and international companies, tastings, and talks about wine and food in a chummy atmosphere for three days in November.

Merano WineFestival Program

The Wine Festival is packed with fascinating events, including an exhibition of wines from all over Italy and the world. Over 650 wineries, 7,000 attendees, and 3,000 sector professionals converge each year, creating an unparalleled atmosphere for the festival. Visitors can easily enjoy the high quality, unique production techniques, and expressive excellence of a wide variety of wines.

Wine Italia

The Wine Italia exhibition, taking place at Kurhaus of Meran, showcases the diversity, quality, and tradition of Italian winemaking. Wines from vineyards spanning from the Alps to Tuscany and Sicily will guide you through aromatic flavors and introduce you to Italy's rich wine heritage.

Wine International

An unparalleled selection of wines from all over the world will delight your taste buds and introduce you to vineyards you may not yet know. Connoisseurs and wine lovers will have the opportunity to explore diverse wine cultures and expand their horizons at Wine International, held in Lentner Hall & Czerny Hall.

WineHunter Area

The WineHunter Area at the Main Stage Kursaal is where wine lovers can explore unique wines carefully selected by The WineHunter, Helmuth Koecher, with the assistance of a panel of experts. Over 400 labels will be presented at the event.

Morano WineFestival Masterlasses

The series of educational sessions at the Merano WineFestival offers a great opportunity to expand your knowledge of wine and winemaking. In the master classes held at Hotel Therme Meran, visitors can discover a wealth of interesting and useful information about wine-growing regions, grape varieties, and winemaking technologies.

The WineHunter Talks

As part of The WineHunter Talks, influential wine experts, sommeliers, and professionals in the wine industry will share their experiences to better familiarize festival guests with the process of producing and consuming wine.

GourmetArena

The Merano WineFestival invites guests not only to immerse themselves in unique wine flavors but also to have an unforgettable culinary experience. Renowned chefs, talented artisans, and exceptional culinary creations will take center stage, preparing gastronomic delights that perfectly complement the wines being tasted.

There will also be events before and after the Merano WineFestival, such as bio&dynamica on November 8, 2024, and Catwalk Champagne&More on November 11, 2024.

Tickets

Festival guests can choose between First Class Daily Ticket and Full Daily Ticket. A First Class Daily Ticket for November 9 costs €154 while a Full Daily Ticket costs €124. Tickets for November 10 and 11 costs €149 and €114, respectively.

Location

The Merano WineFestival takes place at Kurhaus di Merano, 37 Corso Liberta, Merano. Originally established in the 19th century as a healing and entertainment destination for European nobility, Merano's Kurhaus has evolved into a cultural and tourism hub. The festival events are also hosted at additional venues, including a Tent Structure, Lentner Hall & Czerny Hall, Hotel Therme Meran, and Teatro Puccini.
