Location
Koh Mak Island, located in the Gulf of Siam about 25 miles (40 km) from the mainland, offers a peaceful retreat for those looking to escape the crowds of popular Thai beaches. The island covers less than 5 square miles (12.5 sq km) and is home to fewer than a thousand residents. Despite its small size, the island boasts plenty of secluded beaches and local restaurants. Event organizers ensure a variety of accommodation options to suit all tastes and budgets. Getting to Koh Mak is easy, with a daily high-speed ferry service from the mainland. However, it’s important to note that the last speedboat leaves at 4 pm from the Laem Ngob pier.
