The Virginia Beach Tattoo Festival spans three days, beginning on Friday with doors opening at noon and festivities continuing until 11 pm. Saturday follows a similar schedule, also starting at noon and concluding at 11 pm. On Sunday, the festival opens at noon and wraps up earlier, ending at 8 pm. This annual event attracts tattoo enthusiasts and artists alike, offering a vibrant showcase of tattoo artistry, live entertainment, contests, and a diverse array of vendors, creating a dynamic atmosphere for all attendees to enjoy.

Contests

Throughout the weekend at the tattoo convention, attendees can enjoy a variety of contests showcasing artistic talent and creativity. Friday kicks off with competitions like Best Traditional, Best Black Work, and more, starting at 6:00 pm. Saturday features contests such as Best Color Portrait and Best Small Black and Grey, beginning at 3:00 pm. Sunday highlights include Best Sleeve Arm or Leg and Best Lettering, starting at 3:00 pm. Each day also offers a free Tattoo of the Day contest for tattoos started and finished on-site, adding to the excitement of the event.

Tickets

The Virginia Beach Tattoo Festival, held annually, offers tickets exclusively at the door. Day passes cost $25, while a three-day weekend pass is priced at $45. Military personnel can avail of the three-day pass for $35. Attendees must be at least 18 years old to receive a tattoo, with pricing negotiated directly with the artists. The festival features a vibrant mix of tattoo artistry, live entertainment, and various activities over its three-day duration.
