First Night Alexandria

Historical Old Town Alexandria, with its Victorian houses, restaurants, and cobble-stoned streets, is a perfect backdrop for the celebration welcoming the arrival of New Year. That's why First Night Alexandria attracts thousands of people annually.

The live concert features over 100 performances, there is also food, countdown, and fantastic fireworks at midnight. First Night Alexandria takes place in over 30 venues throughout the Western part of the Old Town. The fireworks over the Potomac River are launched close to Kings Street. They are best viewed from the waterfront along the river.

Kings Dominion Winterfest

In Richmond, there is no better place to celebrate New Year's Eve than Kings Dominion Winterfest. A family-friendly event features live music, dancing, the countdown, and the most fantastic fireworks show in the area. The park is illuminated by shimmering lights and lavish decorations. Entertainment includes dancing under the Eiffel Tower with a DJ spinning party, the Grande Bandstand, and kids' countdown at 10 pm.

The Last Night on the Town

A large free festival and concert is held in Virginia Beach. The Last Night on the Town organized by the city of Virginia Beach features a street party, starting at 6 pm at Town Center’s Fountain Plaza with several DJ sets. It's followed by live music headliners that perform until midnight at the Countdown Stage on Columbus Street. Entertainment is free, however, there's a ticketed VIP zone in a heated tent by the stage providing the best views.
