Every year on December 31, the whole San Antonio gathers at the Hemisfair grounds, located southeast of downtown. Celebrate San Antonio is one huge New Year's Eve street party with live music, performances, carnival rides, various entertainment, and food. The best thing: the admission to this festival is free for all.
NYE at the Tower of the Americas
The night at Hemisfair ends with a spectacular fireworks display at midnight. Tower of the Americas, located at Hemisfair, is perhaps the best place to see the fireworks. The 750-ft (230-m) high observation deck of the Tower of the Americas grants a fantastic panorama of the San Antonio skyline. The ticketed party at the Tower of the Americas also features food, dancing, casino games, and live music.

Another popular destination on New Year's Eve is San Antonio Riverwalk, which looks especially festive with Christmas lights and decorations. So, a stroll down the Riverwalk or a river cruise will be a feast for the eyes.

In addition, many hotels, restaurants, and clubs located on the Riverwalk, like Howl at the Moon, Hotel Valencia, Bier Garten, and On the Bend, host gala events and vibrant parties with DJs, cocktails, and delicious food.

Another amazing place to usher in the New Year and take in splendid fireworks is SeaWorld San Antonio. It offers a special SeaWorld-style NYE fireworks celebration with bold fireworks and dispatate entertainment, including some reference to the sea and marine life. The festivities commence at 9 pm and are weather permitting.
