New Year's Eve in San Antonio 2024-2025

Every year on December 31, the whole of San Antonio gathers at the Hemisfair grounds, located southeast of downtown. Celebrate San Antonio is one huge New Year's Eve street party with live music, performances, carnival rides, various entertainment, and food. The best thing is that admission to this festival is free for all.

NYE at the Tower of The Americas

The night at Hemisfair culminates in a breathtaking fireworks display at midnight, with the Tower of The Americas providing an ideal vantage point. From its 750-ft (230-m) observation deck, visitors are treated to an incredible panoramic view of the San Antonio skyline and the spectacular fireworks. The ticketed celebration at the Tower of The Americas offers more than just views, featuring an appetizer buffet, complimentary champagne toast, red carpet, casino games, and live music. Guests can dance the night away and create lasting memories. The event runs from 9:30 pm to 1:30 am, with admission priced at $99 per person, excluding taxes.

NYE at San Antonio River Walk

Another popular spot for New Year's Eve in San Antonio is the vibrant River Walk, which becomes especially magical with its festive Christmas lights and decorations. Strolling along the River Walk or taking a river cruise offers a visual treat as the famous holiday lights turn on this year starting November 29, 2024, and will shine from dusk until dawn nightly through January 5, 2025. Over 100,000 lights, spanning 2,250 strings, are beautifully draped over the towering bald cypress trees lining the river. The experience is free, as the River Walk is a public park open every day of the year, 24 hours a day.

NYE Parties Across the City

In addition, many hotels, restaurants, and clubs located on the River Walk, like Howl at the Moon, Hotel Valencia, Bier Garten, and On the Bend, host gala events and vibrant parties with DJs, cocktails, and delicious food.

NYE at The Rotary Ice Rink

The Rotary Ice Rink will make its seasonal return to Travis Park in downtown San Antonio this fall. Since 2019, the rink has attracted nearly 200,000 visitors, offering a festive atmosphere for skaters of all ages. The rink will open on the Friday before Thanksgiving and will operate daily through mid-January 2025. On New Year's Eve, it will be open from 12 pm to 7 pm, and on New Year's Day, from 1 pm to 7 pm. General admission is priced at $15 plus taxes.

NYE at SeaWorld San Antonio

Another amazing place to usher in the New Year and take in splendid fireworks is SeaWorld San Antonio. It offers a special SeaWorld-style NYE fireworks celebration with bold fireworks and disparate entertainment, including some reference to the sea and marine life. The festivities commence at 9:15 pm and are weather permitting.
