New York boasts a unique and magical holiday atmosphere. New Year's Eve in New York can be your chance to gather with your closest ones and practice a slower living in a big city. Or you can celebrate New Year's Eve together with more than a million people! The city offers a wide variety of the loudest and wildest celebrations ever. Times Square is the first insane place that comes to mind when we think of New York New Year's Eve.

Times Square hosts the most famous New Year's Eve party in the world with the iconic ball drop as the clock strikes midnight on December 31. The celebration is filled with music, confetti, hats, glasses, and lots of sparkles.

Revelers arrive at Times Square in the afternoon to get the best view, as the surrounding streets start to fill up early. The amazing New Year show begins at 6 pm. The New Year's Eve Rockin' Stage fills with musicians that help revelers get in the mood. In previous years, the list of headliners included Jennifer Lopez, Duran Duran, Gloria Gaynor, Pitbull, J-hope, Jax and New Edition, Jessie James Decker. Anitta, Billy Porter, Cyndi Lauper, Jimmie Allen, Machine Gun Kelly, The Waffle Crew, and USO Show Troupe.

A minute before midnight, the countdown starts, and the ball begins its ascent. Then follow fireworks and confetti, and people cheer. The atmosphere is unbelievable!

You can add your wishes to the confetti, showering Times Square on New Year's Eve either digitally or in person. Submit your wish on the digital wishing wall or visit a mobile wishing wall team on the plazas, operating December 1-29, from 11 am to 8 pm.
