The main highlight of the night is the fireworks display over the famous Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma.

Don't forget to bring the grapes to the largest street party of the year! A tradition requires that you eat 12 grapes at every stroke of the clock as it strikes midnight on New Year's Eve. Each grape is meant to bring good luck and prosperity for each month of the upcoming year.

Other New Year's Eve Parties in Palma & Magaluf

Besides the celebration in the heart of the city, Palma also plays host to numerous end-of-the-year parties, held at local clubs, hotels, and restaurants. The BCM Mallorca in Magaluf annually hosts a grandiose New Year's Eve party, featuring DJ-curated music and a whirlwind of entertainment. Tickets cost €35-40 for residents and €50 for non-residents. VIP access ticket costs €75. The party begins at 11 pm and spans into the early hours of the morning, until 6 pm.

Can Bordoy Grand House & Garden in Palma is another great spot to welcome the New Year. With grandiose end-of-the-year parties, this five-star hotel also offers prime accommodation. Last year, the venue played host to a vibrant Broadway-inspired celebration featuring jazz music and an exquisite menu with luxurious options like oysters, charcuterie, and wild red tuna tartar.

Situated near Marina Port De Mallorca, Bahía Mediterráneo restaurant offers stunning vistas of the Mediterranean Sea and fireworks lighting up the sky on New Year's Eve. On the last day of the year, the eatery hosts a Gala Dinner & Party in a gorgeous setting. The six-course meal includes some mouthwatering options, like ravioli with creme Spinach and white truffle, lobster thermidor, and several vegan and vegetarian-friendly dishes. Champagne and twelve lucky grapes are also included in the menu. The party costs €225 to attend.

San Silvestre Calvianera Race

If you're up for something more active and would like to set the pace for the upcoming year, consider participating in the San Silvestre Calvianera Race from Magaluf to Palmanova. The route lies along the coast of Calvia and covers a distance of 4.2 miles (6.7 km). Participants are welcome to wear costumes, which they can receive prizes for. The race both begins and ends on Pista de Atletismo Magaluf. Registration fee is €10, with the event kicking off at 5 pm.
