Big Texas Comicon in San Antonio 2024

Big Texas Comicon is a premier cosplay event that brings together enthusiasts of movies, TV shows, and comics in downtown Texas. This pop-culture extravaganza is held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center on one of the October weekends. Attendees can look forward to impressive celebrity guests and a diverse array of vendors and artists from across South Texas.

Lineup

The guest lineup features a diverse array of media stars, celebrities, and comic creators. Attendees can meet renowned guests, including Elijah Wood, Charlie Cox, Ashley Eckstein, Bonnie Wright, Brian Tochi, Erika Henningsen, Ernie Reyes Jr., Francois Chau, Joe Pantoliano, John Rhys-Davies, Robert Davi, Sean Astin, Sofia Boutella, Jacob Bertrand, Xolo Mariduena, and many more.

Activities

At the event, attendees will have the opportunity to meet their favorite cult figures, interact with them, attend panel sessions, and obtain autographs. Prices for autographs typically range from $50 to $120, depending on the celebrity. Visitors can also explore a range of unique vendors and artists from South Texas. Additionally, the event features a vibrant showcase of cosplay costumes.

Hours

The event hours vary by day: on Friday, the show runs from 2 pm to 8 pm; on Saturday, from 10 am to 7 pm; and on Sunday, from 10 am to 6 pm. Panels are scheduled throughout all three days of the convention.

Tickets

Tickets can be purchased online through the official website or at the Alamodome Ticketmaster box office. General Admission prices for a single day are as follows: on October 11, an adult (all ages) ticket is $20 plus fees, and a child ticket (ages 3-10) is $5 plus fees; on October 12, an adult ticket is $35 plus fees, and a child ticket is $5 plus fees; on October 13, an adult ticket is $30 plus fees, and a child ticket is $5 plus fees. The Express Pass/VIP Pass, which includes a 3-day pass with priority access to autograph and photo ops lines, panel seating, a T-shirt, and a Big Texas Comicon bag, is priced at $250 plus fees.

Rules & Restrictions

All costumes must be appropriate and contain no nudity, as this is a family-friendly event. Violations of these guidelines will result in attendees being asked to leave. Convention staff and security reserve the right to inspect all props to ensure that no authentic weapons are brought onto the convention center property or into the building. Authentic weapons are strictly prohibited and may be confiscated by convention staff and security if found or identified during inspections.
