Skylight Balloon Fest 2024 in San Antonio, TX

Skylight Balloon Fest takes place every September at the River City Community Church Grounds at 16765 Lookout Rd, Selma, Texas. It is a relatively new event that got its start in 2017. The festival is definitely worth a visit with around 15 hot air balloons and over a hundred vendors offering their exceptional goods.

You can go for a tethered balloon ride, watch morning competitions, or see the amazing balloon glow at night. Saturday morning is marked with a mass balloon launch. Witness how balloons get inflated, take off, and land on the field.

Skylight Balloon Fest Entertainment

In addition, four live concerts, food trucks, gellyball, games at vendor booths, acrobatic shows, a Family Fun Zone, and Jumbo Interactive Area Petting Zoo with 20 varieties of animals are waiting for you. Family Fun Zone offers laser tag, amusement rides, inflatables, and more fun for all ages. Play All Day wristbands are available for $10. Vendors include local artisans and businesses offering their unique handmade items.

Festival Hours

Skylight Balloon Fest runs on Friday from 5 pm to 9 pm, and on Saturday from 7 am to 4:30 pm. The Saturday Balloon Launch is from 7 am to 9 am, the event is closed from 9 am to 2 pm, and reopens from 2 pm to 9 pm.

Tickets and Parking

Skylight Balloon Fest offers limited seating, so guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. Friday admission is $10 for adults (12 years and up) and $5 for children (3 to 11 years). On Saturday, admission from 2 pm to 9 pm is $15 for adults (12 years and up) and $10 for children (3 to 11 years). Children under the age of 2 get in free both days. Online tickets will be available the week of the event and at the entrance gate the weekend. Parking near the festival grounds is free.

Pet Policy

Only service animals are allowed on the festival grounds and must be on a leash.
