Wausau Balloon & Rib Fest is an annual event that takes place in summer, usually during the full weekend after July 4, at Wausau Downtown Airport. Voted Favorite Event of Wausau five years in a row, the three-day celebration has something for every taste. The fun-packed program features around 20 hot air balloons, seven rib vendors, live music, kids zone, kites, animals, bounce houses, delicious food, and beverages. Finally, get ready to be hypnotized by three nights of an unbelievable fireworks show in the area.
Admission to the Balloon and Rib Fest is free, but food, beer, and some entertainment are not, so expect to pay for it. No pets and no carry-in drinks or food are allowed on the grounds.
