The New Jersey Festival of Ballooning is an annual celebration of soaring adventure set against the gorgeous scenery of the Garden State. It has grown into a beloved annual event, which combines the cheer of balloon rides with a celebration of communal spirit and the delight of group celebrations. In addition to the balloons, there are also live concerts, amusement rides, fireworks, Running with the Balloons 5K, and an enchanting nighttime glow. A bit of history
The New Jersey Baloon Festival has been held since 1983, when Bill Lewis, who worked with USA Today, brought ten hot air balloons to the Union 76 Truck Stop on Interstate 78 in New Jersey. In 1985, the festival moved to Solberg Airport. In 2000, it started hosting major bands, like The Beach Boys, Styx, Foreigner, America, Jonas Brothers, and others.
