The New Jersey Baloon Festival has been held since 1983, when Bill Lewis, who worked with USA Today, brought ten hot air balloons to the Union 76 Truck Stop on Interstate 78 in New Jersey. In 1985 the festival moved to Solberg Airport. In 2000, it started hosting major bands like The Beach Boys, Styx, Foreigner, America, Jonas Brothers, and others.
