Flag City BalloonFest is a premier hot air balloon festival, gathering crowds for a fun-packed weekend in mid-August at Emory Adams Park in Findlay, Ohio. The festival highlights about fifty variously shaped hot air balloons, operated by professional pilots. Also, Findlay balloon fest features a number of events, such as Balloon Glow or Car and Motorcycle Show. Besides, the festival offers numerous food stalls, a beer tent, a kids' fair, a petting zoo, pony rides, and fireworks.
Admission to the festival is free, but full-fledged fly-away rides are offered at a charge. Additionally, tethered rides are available on a first-come–first-served basis. Another ticketed option is a Balloon Glow Encounter, which provides access to the area an hour before the show and a unique opportunity to watch the spectacle from inside. Just note that balloon glow is a weather-permitting activity and organizers offer no refunds. And last but not least, if you're into a car and motorcycle show, the registration is $15. Keep in mind that pets are not allowed at the fest, so leave your furry friends at home.
