Fairborn 4th of July Fireworks, Parades & Events 2025 in Ohio

The city of Fairborn, located in Greene County, the suburbs of Dayton, cherishes its traditions and treasures American Independence to the fullest. A special festival committee of the city has prepared a massive two-day Independence Day celebration. Yellow Springs, a village nearby, also hosts its own 4th of July celebration and parade. Let’s see what there is in store for visitors.
Block Party (July 3, 2024)
As part of the program, there will be a fun Block Party, which takes place in Downtown Fairborn, around Main Street. The event begins at 4 pm and lasts for 6 hours, ending only at 10 pm! You will have plenty of time to talk to Fairborn residents, get to know guests of the city or just enjoy the scenery of the park. Craft vendors will set up their booths with handmade souvenirs and art pieces. The Block Party is usually accompanied by fantastic music from local performers.
There will also be many food & beverage trucks, so you are welcome to bring cash and buy some delicious snacks or drinks. Local restaurants also keep their doors open, so you can bring your family and go for a delicious lunch together. Some of the options nearby include TJ Chumps, Waffle House, and Verona's Pizza Fairborn.
Fairborn 4th of July Parade & Concert (July 4, 2024)
Fairborn hosts one of the biggest Independence Day parades in the state, boasting entries from local organizations and businesses. Before the procession begins, you'll have a chance to witness a breathtaking Fairborn Civic Band concert, which normally takes place at 9:15 am. The repertoire begins with the American national anthem and further features legendary patriotic compositions. The band will continue its show as the parade begins.
The marching begins at 10 am and includes a lot of floats, bands, fire trucks, police vehicles, and patriotically dressed folks. The procession sets off from Central Avenue down North Central Avenue and towards the intersection of Main Street and Legion Lane. The parade lasts approximately two hours, so use it to your advantage by taking plenty of snapshots of the red, white, and blue extravaganza.
Fireworks at Fairborn Community Park (July 4, 2024)
After the parade, the crowd goes to Community Park for more fun, starting at 4 pm. Visitors can enjoy awesome food at the park, go on spectacular carnival rides, and watch a terrific fireworks show, which begins at 10 pm. You may want to grab a blanket or a lawn chair to sit on to enjoy the spectacle while snuggling up to your loved one.
Yellow Springs 4th of July Parade (July 4, 2024)
If you find yourself wanting to explore the area nearby, look no further than Yellow Springs! Located just 8 miles south of Fairborn, Yellow Springs breathes new life into Independence Day celebrations. The festivities begin with the annual parade, which normally starts off at 12 am.
The route begins at Xenia Avenue in Downtown Yellow Springs. The procession continues down Xenia Avenue and stops at Corry Street. Many of the participants include local organizations and civic groups, so consider waving your flag in support and cheering them on.
Yellow Springs 4th of July Fireworks Show (July 4, 2024)
No Independence Day celebration goes without a magnificent fireworks display, and the Yellow Springs administration knows how to hold one. The event takes place at Gaunt Park from 6 pm to 10 pm. Before the day's grand finale, enjoy food and drinks from local vendors and dance to some of the most popular performers in the area. The venue will also be equipped with family-friendly activities.
The icing on the cake for the night, the fireworks spectacle, usually starts at 9-9:30 pm, after the sunset. Consider grabbing a blanket or lawn chair to appreciate the show in all its bright glory. The fireworks are visible all throughout the Gaunt Park and Downtown Yellow Springs.
