CenterPoint Energy Dayton Air Show 2024 in Ohio
One of the leading air shows in the U.S.
Dates: June 22-23, 2024
The CenterPoint Energy Dayton Air Show, formerly known as Vectren Dayton Air Show, is Dayton's favorite summer party that takes place at the Dayton International Airport in Vandalia, Ohio, just about 8 miles (12 km) north of Dayton, Ohio, and some 65 miles (100 km) from Cincinnati. Dayton has a rich aviation heritage, as it's the hometown of the Wright brothers, who founded the Wright Company back in 1910. Also, the first powered plane was built here. No wonder the Dayton Air Show has become one of the most significant in the country. It attracts about 80,000 attendees annually.
Air Show Performers
This year's show will feature some prominent figures and teams of the aerobatic and aviation industry. The headliners are, of course, the Blue Angels squadron, who will perform carefully choreographed maneuvers and flyovers. Other impressive acts include the USAF F-16 Viper Demonstration Team, P-51D Swamp Fox, Titan Aerobatic Team, and legendary duo Maverick & Iceman.
Other Entertainment
Ground entertainment includes special displays presented by current servicemen and women of the U.S. Armed Forces, souvenir stalls, as well as vendors selling food and beverages. CenterPoint Energy Kids’ Hangar offers free activities for kids—face painting, giant sandboxes, crafts, a backyard gym, and much more.
